# Google Drive Integration

If you use Google Drive to store transaction documents, DocJacket can connect directly — so you can import and export files without downloading and re-uploading.

## Connecting Google Drive

1. Go to **Settings > Integrations**
2. Find **Google Drive** and click **Connect**
3. Sign in with your Google account and grant DocJacket access
4. You're connected — the Drive button will now appear on your Documents tab

## Importing from Drive

1. Open a transaction's **Documents** tab
2. On the **Files** subtab, click **Drive**
3. Browse your Drive folders and select the files you want to import
4. Click **Import** — the files are copied into DocJacket

## Exporting to Drive

You can also send documents from DocJacket back to Google Drive. This is useful when you need to share files in a Drive folder with other parties who don't use DocJacket.

From the Documents tab you can:

- Export all transaction documents
- Select documents and export only those files
- Export a single document from its row actions

## Linking a transaction folder

The **Drive** menu also shows whether a transaction Drive folder is linked.

Use it to:

- Link a Drive folder
- Change the linked folder
- Open the folder in Google Drive
- Unlink the folder

When a folder is linked, required-document uploads can land in the transaction's persistent Drive folder.

## Tips

- Imported files are **copies** — changes in Drive won't automatically sync to DocJacket (and vice versa)
- You can import multiple files at once
- Folder structure in Drive doesn't carry over — imported files land in the transaction's document list
