What it proposes & how to approve

DocJacket reads the group text as it comes in. Most messages are ordinary conversation and produce nothing. But when a message contains something actionable — a request, or a confirmed date — DocJacket turns it into a proposal you can approve or dismiss.

Every proposal is approval-gated. Nothing is added to the deal, and no date is changed, until you approve it. And each proposal carries the exact message it came from as evidence, so you can see why DocJacket suggested it.

The two things it proposes today

Task proposals

When someone asks for something to be done, DocJacket proposes a task.

Buyer's agent: "Can you send the inspection report over to the buyer today?"

Proposed task: Send inspection report to buyer

Key-date proposals

When someone states or confirms a date, DocJacket proposes a key date on the deal.

Buyer's agent: "Inspection is confirmed for Thursday."

Proposed key date: Inspection = (that Thursday's date)

Action items and dates only, for now

Today DocJacket detects action items and dates. Detecting status changes ("we're under contract," "the deal fell through") and answering questions directly in the thread are on the roadmap — they aren't live yet.

Where proposals show up

The Review queue

Every proposal collects in your Review queue — the document-with-a-check icon in the top bar (its drawer is labeled Review queue), or the full-screen page at /review.

This is the Review queue, not the notification bell

Proposals land under the document-with-a-check icon, not the 🔔 bell. The bell is for general notifications (task completed, documents, portal). The Review queue is where AI proposals — from texts, email, and documents — wait for your approval.

For each proposal you'll see what it is, the evidence (the exact text message it came from), and buttons to approve or dismiss.

Inline in the conversation

You'll also see a small proposal card right under the message that triggered it on the Texts tab, so you can approve it in context while reading the thread.

Approving or dismissing

  • Approve — the task is created, or the key date is set on the deal. Approved changes then show on the transaction's timeline / activity record.
  • Dismiss — the proposal goes away and nothing changes.

Because it's your call every time, DocJacket can flag things it thinks matter without any risk of it quietly editing a deadline or adding busywork.

Good to know

  • Evidence is always attached. A proposal you can't explain isn't a proposal you have to accept — open it and read the source message.
  • Duplicates are avoided. If a date or task was already captured, DocJacket won't pile on a second proposal for the same thing.
  • Nothing is auto-sent. A task proposal never emails anyone on its own; it just creates the task for your team.
