Transaction Statuses
Every transaction in DocJacket has a status that tells you where it is in the process. Statuses help you filter your transaction list, organize your pipeline, and keep track of what needs attention.
Default statuses
DocJacket comes with these built-in statuses:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | The deal is in progress — under contract and working toward closing |
| Pending | Waiting on something before it can move forward (common for deals awaiting signatures) |
| Closed | The deal closed successfully |
| Withdrawn | The deal was cancelled or fell through |
Using statuses
Filtering your transactions
On the Transactions page, use the status filter to see only the deals in a specific state. For example, filter to "Active" to see just your current workload, or "Closed" to review completed deals.
Pipeline view
The Pipeline page shows your transactions as a Kanban board, with each column representing a status. Drag and drop transaction cards between columns to update their status instantly.
Changing a transaction's status
You can change a transaction's status in a few ways:
- From the transaction — Open the transaction and update the status field
- From the pipeline — Drag the card to a different column
- From the list — Some status changes are available via right-click or inline actions
Custom statuses
If the default statuses don't match your workflow, you can create custom statuses in Settings. For example, some TCs add statuses like:
- Under Review — Contract received but not yet fully executed
- Clear to Close — All conditions met, just waiting for the closing date
- Post-Closing — Deal is closed but still has outstanding items
Custom statuses appear as columns in your pipeline view and as options in your status filters.
