Creating Tasks
There are several ways to add tasks to a transaction.
Quick add
The fastest way. At the top of the Tasks tab:
- Type a task name in the quick-add bar
- Press Enter
- The task is created with Medium priority by default
You can customize everything else (due date, priority, assignee, instructions) by clicking the task to open its detail drawer.
Detail drawer
Click any task to open the detail drawer on the right side. From here you can edit:
- Name and description — What needs to be done
- Priority — Urgent, High, Medium, or Low
- Due date — When it's due
- Assignee — Who's responsible
- Instructions — Detailed notes or steps
The drawer also has collapsible sections for advanced features like subtasks, email automation, and task options.
From a template
Load a pre-built task checklist for your transaction type. Templates come with priorities, due date offsets, and linked email templates already configured.
- Click the Apply Template button on the Tasks tab
- Choose a template
- Tasks are added with all their settings pre-configured
See Task Templates for more.
AI-generated
Let AI analyze your transaction and suggest a task checklist. See AI Task Generation for details.
Drag to reorder
Tasks can be reordered by dragging them within their date group. This doesn't change due dates — it just lets you prioritize the visual order.
